Our Story

For over five decades, the Moose Lake Cottage Owners Association has served as the voice of cottage owners within Moose Lake Provincial Park.

Established in 1967, the association was formed to provide a united voice for cabin owners while building positive relationships with Manitoba Parks and neighbouring stakeholders. Today, MLCOA continues that tradition by advocating on behalf of members, sharing important information, organizing annual meetings, and helping preserve the unique character of Moose Lake. As a member association of the Manitoba Provincial Parks Cabin Owners Association (MPPCOA), MLCOA also participates in province-wide discussions affecting cabin owners throughout Manitoba's provincial parks.

Represent cottage owners

For more than 50 years, the Moose Lake Cottage Owners Association has been committed to protecting the interests of our members while preserving the unique character of Moose Lake Provincial Park. Our objectives guide everything we do and reflect our commitment to both our cottage community and the natural environment we are fortunate to enjoy.

Encourage responsible recreation

Moose Lake offers outstanding opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and spending time outdoors. We promote the safe and respectful use of the park while encouraging everyone to follow park regulations, protect wildlife habitats, and help maintain the peaceful atmosphere that makes Moose Lake such a special place.

Encourage responsible recreation

Keeping members informed is one of our highest priorities. We provide timely updates on association activities, Manitoba Parks initiatives, important notices, and issues affecting cottage owners through newsletters, our website, email communications, and our Annual General Meeting.

Protect the natural environment

We serve as the collective voice of cottage owners by working with Manitoba Parks and other stakeholders on matters that affect our community. From lease and policy discussions to infrastructure improvements and park management decisions, we advocate for solutions that benefit both our members and the long-term sustainability of Moose Lake.

Foster community involvement

A strong community depends on engaged members. We encourage cottage owners to participate in annual meetings, volunteer for projects, share ideas, and contribute to the continued success of the association. By working together, we can accomplish far more than any individual could alone.

Located in southeastern Manitoba, Moose Lake Provincial Park offers a beautiful blend of sandy beaches, excellent fishing, boating, wildlife viewing and one of Manitoba's rarest white pine forests. The park features a campground, boat launch, picnic areas, playgrounds and easy access to the lake, making it a favourite destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
